Orders & Shipping
When will my order ship?
Our typical turnaround time is 1-3 weeks, but since each bikini is handmade to order the timeframe is occasionally longer depending on demand. If your suit is expected to be shipped outside of this window, you will receive a notice. Please refrain from asking about the status of your order if it's still within the 3 week window, we promise we are working as hard as we can!
Can I change my order?
If you notice a mistake with your order (incorrect address OR incorrect product), reach out within 24 hours of placing the order or else we cannot guarantee that the change will be made.
How much is shipping? Where do you ship to?
Shipping costs $7 to the US, with free shipping on orders over $180. We ship worldwide, but please note that due to everything going on with tariff policy the costs associated with international shipping may be higher than expected. Feel free to shoot us an email if you have questions about placing an international order.
How can I track my order?
You will receive a tracking number at the email address associated with your purchase once the order has been shipped. We ship all packages through USPS.
What happens if my package gets lost or stolen?
What happens after the postal service receives a package is out of our control. Once you get an email notifying you that your package has shipped, if there is an issue we recommend contacting your local post office. We want to make sure you receive your order, so please reach out to us at contact@blackdogbikinis.com if the post office is unable to locate your package and we will do our best to work something out.
Returns & Exchanges
Do you accept returns or exchanges?
We do not accept returns, however we accept SIZE BASED exchanges, but only if the suit is remade in the original fabrics. We will not accept bottoms exchanges based solely on coverage. If you have questions about coverage options or would like to see more pictures, please reach out prior to placing an order.
We will not accept fabric based exchanges. Be certain of your fabric choices prior to placing an order! Please please please double check your order before you check out, and if you notice a mistake immediately after checking out reach out to us within 24 so we can correct the order before we make the suit- otherwise we cannot change the order.
If you need an exchange, please note your new order is added to the queue and will be made in accordance with current wait times. All exchanges must take place within 14 days of the shipping date. We will not accept exchanges outside that window. We will not accept exchanges if the suit has been worn.

What if my item arrives damaged?
If there is a flaw in your bikini, please send us an email at contact@blackdogbikinis.com within 14 days of delivery. While we pride ourselves in quality control, if something happens to fall through the cracks we want to make it right ASAP.
If your item arrives damaged from shipping, please file a claim with your local post office, as that is out of our control.
Can I exchange a premade suit?
NO- premade suits are final sale!

Do you have public information about your sustainability goals?

Part of transparency is open channels of communication with customers, so if you have any questions about our sustainability efforts please send us an email- we'd love to chat!
Do you do collaborations?

Please note that we will not respond to general inquiries about receiving free product, as we are a one-woman show!
Do you offer wholesale?
Yes! We love spreading the word of Black Dog through retail partnerships! Please email contact@blackdogbikinis.com with the name of your store, location, website (if you sell online), general timeline, and any other ideas you have or information that would be helpful.

How do I care for my bikini?
Rinse all bikinis in cool water after each wear, ideally with a mild detergent or soap. Hang to airdry out of direct sunlight and you'll be amazed at the lifespan on your bikini!
Store credit and gift cards
If your suit does not fit and for some reason we no longer carry your original fabric choices, we will issue store credit in the form of a code to be used at checkout whenever you choose to place another order.
We do sell gift cards! You can find them here, and they make a perfect gift.
